Workers’ Compensation Section of The Mississippi Bar

 

          The Workers’ Compensation Section of The Mississippi Bar affords non-lawyers who are interested in workers’ compensation issues to become adjunct members of the section.  The adjunct membership portion of our by-laws is as follows:

 

 

2-5.  Adjunct Membership.             This section recognizes that many professionals contribute to the success of workers’ compensation, and to that end, affords adjunct membership to non-members of the Mississippi Bar who choose to participate in the section.  These members shall be non-voting members of two classifications: individuals and corporations.  Individual annual membership fee is $25.00 payable at any time to cover the annual bar year (July to July) of the year that the fee is paid.  Corporate annual membership fee is $100.00 payable at an time to cover the annual bar year (July to July) of the year that the fee is paid.  Membership shall allow the adjunct member to serve as ex officio members on any section committee and to vote in said committee, to receive the section newsletter and other section information, and to receive any section discount established for section seminars or other section events.  Corporate annual membership shall entitle the corporate member to select five (5) members to represent the corporation and receive committee appointments and dissemination of other section information as described above. Adjunct membership fees may not be pro-rated.
